Maj. Maurice D. Parker as he assumed responsibility of the 207th MIB, by taking ceremonial custody of the brigade's colors. “My goal is helping the 207th continue its top-tier intelligence support” to U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa and U.S. Africa Command, Parker said after the ceremony. “My initiatives are to support the commander’s priorities, and to insure we have lighting pride in our organization. “’PRIDE’ stands for ‘People first, readiness, innovation, discipline, diversity and empowerment.’” The 207th MIB (T) is the first theater intelligence brigade dedicated solely to Africa. It conducts intelligence collection in support of SETAF-AF and USAFRICOM in order to set the intelligence architecture for the theater and promote regional stability while building and maintaining intelligence readiness.
