Shared Accord 18 strengthens relationships through partnership

Shared Accord 2018 exercise participants from 15 nations and three international organizations gather for a group photo at the Rwandan Military Academy in Gako, Rwanda, Aug. 14, 2018. Shared Accord is a multi-lateral exercise intended to enhance U.S. and African forces’ capabilities to perform peacekeeping operations in support of United Nations and Africa Union mandates, while shaping the security environment, and deterring violent extremist organizations.

Senior enlisted leaders from Africa, Europe and the United States gathered for the Senior Enlisted Leaders Forum (SELF), part of the African Land Forces Summit (ALFS) 2025, held April 8 and 10 in Accra. SELF runs concurrently with ALFS, and features specialized plenary and breakout sessions for senior enlisted leaders across Africa, the US and Europe, dedicated to topics related to developing and leading enlisted soldiers.
