Wasmund makes opening remarks after African Alumni Symposium

Hill, commandant of the Army War College, and Kuwali, Malawi Defence Force judge advocate general, joined dozens of former African graduates from 19 nations returning to the Army War College to attend the symposium Feb. 26 to March 2. The symposium is a U.S. Africa Command annual event bringing together African alumni from U.S. military education schools. LILONGWE, Malawi – The Malawi Defense Force (MDF) recently invited chaplains from U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), and their new state partners, the North Carolina Army National Guard, to participate in a military-to-military (M2M) exchange. This collaboration marks the first interaction with MDF chaplains since 2019, highlighting a renewed commitment to partnership and religious support.
