Rwanda Defence Force hosts the U.S., Netherlands for Peacekeeping Exercise Planning
Representatives from the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) and U.S. Army Africa planners meet to coordinate for Shared Accord 2018 at the Rwanda Military Academy in Gako, Rwanda 27 Nov. -1 Dec. in preparation for the upcoming, annual, multinational, peacekeeping focused command post exercise scheduled to take place in August.

1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division Soldiers from Task Force Darby supporting operations at Contingency Location Garoua, Cameroon, share their Thanksgiving Dinner with their Cameroonian hosts.
The annual tradition was an opportunity to share American culture with soldiers and airmen of the Cameroonian Defense Force. The Soldiers from the U.S. Army Fort Drum & 10th Mountain Division, are in Cameroon to support Cameroon military efforts to combat regional violent extremism from Boko Haram ad ISIS West Africa.

Civil Affairs Team 8324 works with Gabonese military and park rangers
Members of the Gabonese Armed Forces and U.S. Army Civil Affairs Team (CAT) 8324, conduct a map reconnaissance and discuss counter illicit trafficking operations, Libreville, Gabon, Sept. 25. The seminar brought Gabonese military and park rangers together with U.S. Civil Affairs personnel to develop methods to build resiliency within vulnerable populations, fostering regional stability and utilizing a whole of government approach to respond to humanitarian and disaster response missions.
