U.S. Army Soldiers with the 2nd Security Force Assistance Brigade and Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) conduct pre-deployment drills with the Armed Forces of Djibouti’s Bataillon d'Intervention Rapide at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Feb. 22, 2024. The drills, including a visit to the engagement skills trainer facility, were completed in preparation for exercise Justified Accord, led by U.S Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF). JA24 is U.S. Africa Command's largest exercise in East Africa, running from February 26 - March 7. Led by SETAF-AF, and hosted in Kenya, this year's exercise will incorporate personnel and units from 23 nations. 173rd Airborne Brigade

U.S. Army paratroopers with the 54th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 173rd Airborne Brigade, deliver toys donated by Soldiers and their families, to children in Camasano Vicento, Italy, as part of an annual toy donation Dec. 5, 2023. Each of the Vicenza-based battalions within the 173rd Airborne is paired with a local community where they focus outreach activities and help further integrate Soldiers into the shared community. The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army's Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapidly deployable forces to the United States European, African, and Central Command areas of responsibility.
