Meet the Providers Expo brings VMC, Vicenza health care providers together

Event designed to facilitate interaction between members of the VMC and local health care providers attracts an estimated 400 Army civilian employees, contractors, Department of Defense Education Activity employees, retirees, Soldiers and family members.
Soldiers and civilians assigned to U.S. Army Africa learn about the D-Day invasion in Normandy, France, Sept. 17-20. The goal of the trip was to build the USARAF team and discuss lessons learned from the past to apply to future planning.
U.S. Army Africa personnel participated in a battlefield staff ride focusing on lessons learned during the WWII invasion at Pointe du Hoc, Normandy, Sept. 17-20, 2019. The staff ride offered USARAF personnel an opportunity to reflect on the historical event and discuss how to best adapt their own training plans, in order to better prepare Soldiers for future combat.

USARAF, partners commence planning largest exercise

Military planners from eight nations gathered in Agadir, Morocco, Aug. 5-9, to begin planning U.S. Army Africa’s largest annual exercise, African Lion.
"I joined the federal government because, at the age of 23, I was excited about health insurance and paid time off. About a year after I started, I realized how important the civilian workforce is to not only the men and women who serve in our armed forces, but also the entire nation if not world. I believe in what we do as civilians and the support roles we play to assist with the mission of the agencies we work for," said Jamie Jugran, a human resource specialist with U.S. Army Africa
