Kentucky Guard signal leaders swap knowledge, build relationships with counterparts in partner nation Djibouti

A team of Kentucky National Guard signal leaders, who were handpicked based on their expertise, meet with Bataillon d’Intervention Rapide, a quick reaction military unit in Djibouti, Aug. 11-19 as part of the State Partnership Program.
Each year SETAF-AF manages TSC events to increase global response and interoperability with U.S. allies and partners. This is primarily accomplished through combined training and TSC engagements with allies and partners, in order to demonstrate our shared commitment to maintaining a safe and secure continent.
Why I Serve: “I joined the Army to make a difference for this country while fighting for it. I continue to serve to protect the health of the men and women of this country and to emphasize preventive medicine to conserve the fighting force.”
