NAIROBI, Kenya — Multinational planners inked the final details for exercise Justified Accord 2025 (JA25), increasing the number participants by nearly 50 percent. Joining Kenya as host nations, Tanzania and Djibouti will also conduct portions of the upcoming exercise, which features over 20 nations, nearly 1,500 participants and several new events.

VICENZA, Italy — The initial planning event for exercise Justified Accord 2025 (JA25) took place from June 10-13, setting the stage for the multinational military exercise scheduled for Feb. 10-21, 2025 in Kenya. The planning event comes less than a month after U.S. President Joe Biden named Kenya a major non-NATO ally, the first in sub-Saharan Africa.

Mass. National Guard medical planner experiences Kenya for first time

U.S. Army Capt. James Hogan is a medical plans and operations officer, as well as executive officer for the 182nd Medical Company, Massachusetts National Guard. His hometown is Boston, Mass., but he also spent time in Georgia so he lacks the well-known Boston accent. On the civilian side, he works in the human resources department at the Veterans Affairs Boston Health System.
