Thirty-five volunteers from U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa joined forces with members of the Italian National Alpini Association of Vicenza “Monte Berico” (Associazione Nazionale Alpini di Vicenza "Monte Berico") and the Italian Relief Corps of the Order of Malta (Corpo Italiano di Soccorso dell'Ordine di Malta) for a cleanup of the Monte Berico porticos on Aug. 28, in Vicenza, Italy.
Led by Col. Matthew J. Gomlak, the U.S. Army Garrison Italy commander, and Lt. Col. John Baker, the SETAF-AF Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion commander, Soldiers, civilians and family members from the Vicenza military community teamed up with Italians to ready the site for the upcoming festivities at the Sanctuary of St. Mary of Mount Berico (Santuario della Madonna di Monte Berico), scheduled for Sept. 8.
