Major Andrew D. Huffaker

Maj. Andrew D. Huffaker is a native of Cibolo, Texas. Maj. Huffaker graduated and received his commission as a Military Police Officer from Texas Christian University in 2013 with a degree in Criminal Justice. In 2021, Maj. Huffaker was selected to become an Army Sub-Saharan Foreign Area Officer.

Maj. Huffaker's previous assignments include: Executive Officer for HHC, 42D Military Police Brigade, Join Base Lewis McChord (JBLM), Platoon Leader in the 170th Military Police Company, JBLM, Executive Office of the 54th Military Police Company, JBLM, Battalion S-4 of the 759th Military Police Battalion, Fort Carson, Commander of the 127th Military Police Company, Fort Carson, and Commander of the 289th Military Police Company (simultaneous with the 947th Military Working Dog Detachment) in the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment, The Old Guard, in Washington D.C.

Maj. Huffaker is a graduate of the Military Police Basic Officer Leader Course, Critical Incident Peer Support Course, Military Police Special Reaction Team Course, Antiterrorism Officer Basic Course Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor Course, the Military Police Captains Career Course, and the Defense Language Institutes French Program. Maj. Huffaker most recently received a master's degree in National Security Affairs - Sub-Saharan Africa from the Naval Postgraduate School where he also completed Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) I at the Naval War College.

Maj. Huffaker's awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal with one bronze oak leaf cluster, Army Commendation Medal with two bronze oak leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal with four bronze oak leaf clusters, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon. He is Authorized to wear the German Armed Forces Badge of Military Proficiency in Gold.

Maj. Huffaker is currently conducting In Region Training (IRT) in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. Following IRT, Maj. Huffaker will attend the Joint Military Attaché School followed by an assignment as the ARMA in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.
