Vince Golembeski
Senior Security Cooperation Planner, U.S. Army Cyber Command
Mr. Vince Golembeski has served as a Senior Security Cooperation Planner at U.S. Army Cyber Command since 1 August 2023.
Mr. Golembeski is a native of Augusta, Georgia and a graduate of Augusta College. He enlisted into the U.S. Army Reserves as a Chemical Operations Specialist in 1991 and transitioned into the U.S. Army Simultaneous Member Program as a member of the Jaguar Battalion at Augusta College. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History with a minor in Military Science and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Field Artillery in 1993. Mr. Golembeski earned a Master’s degree in international relations from St Mary's University, San Antonio, TX and a Master’s degree in Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College in Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Golembeski retired from Active Duty on 31 July 2023. During his over thirty-two-years of federal service Vince has held a variety of military and diplomatic assignments to include battery level leadership and battalion and Army Corps staff positions at Fort Hood, TX and Fort Bragg, NC. In 2003, he transitioned to become a U.S. Army Foreign Area Officer (FAO). As a Sub- Saharan Africa FAO, he conducted in-region training in Niamey, Niger before being assigned to U.S. Central Command J5 where he was a political-military officer with a security cooperation portfolio that included thirteen countries in East Africa. He has served as the Chief of the Office of Security Cooperation in the Republic of Uganda; the Chief of the Office of Security Cooperation in the Republic of Kenya; the Executive Officer to the Deputy to the Commander for Civil-Military Engagement, U.S. Africa Command in Stuttgart Germany; the Senior Defense Official/Defense Attaché to the United Republic of Tanzania; the Senior Military Advisor to the Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of African Affairs at the Department of State; the Chief of Attaché Operations and Army Attaché to the Arab Republic of Egypt; and most recently, he served as the Command Inspector General at U.S. Army Cyber Command.
Mr. Golembeski is a graduate of the U.S. Army War College, the U.S. Army Inspector General School, the Joint Military Attaché School, the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, Joint Professional Military Education II, the Defense Language Institute, and has completed the Defense Institute for Security Assistance Management Course. His awards and decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, the Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal (4OLC); the Meritorious Service Medal (1OLC); Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal; Army Achievement Medal (lOLC); National Defense Service Medal; Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal; Global War on Terror Service Medal; Army Service Ribbon; Joint Meritorious Unit Award (4OLC); Basic Parachutist Badge; and Basic Air Assault Badge.
